If you are planning on getting married in 2018, cancel any plans you might have on January 6th — unless you are getting married on this very day. That’s because Bridal Village is hosting a major event in all its partner bridal boutiques (see end of blog post for a complete list), the Bridal Village National Sale Day. Once you have checked out the designer wedding dresses from boutiques across the country, beautifully presented online by Bridal Village, you can be sure that you will be able to find the perfect wedding dress at an incredible price.
We all love those sales after Christmas. Who doesn’t love a bargain? Especially buying that designer bag you always wanted at half the price, or those amazing boots. But how about buying a designer wedding dress at 70% off? Well, during the Bridal Village National Sale Day on the 6th of January, you can really enjoy the post-Christmas shopping by buying a designer wedding dress at unbelievable discounts. Dresses from top designers Pronovias, Maggie Sottero, Justin Alexander, Ronald Joyce, Jesus Peiro & Paloma Blanca are all included, the exclusive list goes on…you can view all the dresses before the big sale day.

What happens when you arrive in a participating bridal boutique? In order to help you with your wedding dress choices, we have put together a few tips on how to get the most out of this great experience. Of course you will have all the necessary assistance from the experts, but it is good to show up with some ideas to throw on the table. Have you thought about the design or fabrics? There are so many options to choose from, such as satin, silk, embellished, tulle and lace. The wedding dress silhouette is also important, and you may come across names like mermaid, sheath and a-line. If you are not sure about which silhouette suits you best, check out our wedding dress silhouette guide to help you.
Getting married is a dream that begins with a sweet story. When we talk to brides, they always bring beautiful memories that turn this moment into something of a fairy tale. For this reason, we decided that the Bridal Village National Sale Day should celebrate the stories of brides. So, we began a competition on the Bridal Village Facebook page, asking brides about their best (or worst) dates with their fiance. Some of the comments brought us to tears of joy! We want to share some with you here. Are you ready?
Kerrylee Coyle remembers the day her “hubby” proposed: “I was sick in hospital the day before as I was pregnant, he thought I would not get home for Christmas Eve and he had the proposal all organised — a Christmas decoration for the tree asking me to marry him. He told me to look on the tree for a Christmas present. I found the decoration on the tree and when I turned around he was on one knee. We can’t wait for the 2nd of June, 2018”.
Danielle Stamps, on the other hand, will connect a moment of strong emotion with the day she walked down the aisle: “When myself and fiancée lived in Canada my nanny passed away, I couldn’t get home to her funeral as we couldn’t afford the flights, we had only arrived two months before hand. I was heart broken. I was extremely close to her and never thought I’d miss her funeral. I never got to say goodbye. We arrived home in July. And he took me to a hotel in Carlow. This is where we officially got together. He proposed to me on the 15th of September. This would have been my nanny’s first anniversary. I am so happy he popped the question on this date because it’s a date we now have in common. And we will be getting married on the same weekend as that date so I feel she’s part of my big day. So the date I got proposed to is a major highlight for me because of what it also means for me and my nanny”.
Do you have a beautiful story? Do tell! If it gets selected you will win a free wedding dress from Bridal Village and you will be one step closer to your special day! Follow the easy instructions on our Facebook post, and don’t forget to visit one of the following bridal boutiques on the 6th of January during the National Sale Day. Click their link to view their sale dresses. We look forward to seeing you!
